How to use the chain

Add the testnet, then add SUSD.

SPS is the gas token. It appears when the network is added. SUSD is a separate test token and has to be imported by contract address. Mainnet is not open.

Chain 77702Testnet onlyNo monetary valueNot independently audited
Use a spare wallet. Never paste a seed phrase into this website, a support chat, or a “support” account. Sentinel cannot recover a key. Testnet SPS and SUSD have no monetary value.

Start here

  1. Install a wallet that can add a custom Ethereum network. The ones below can.
  2. On the homepage, choose Add testnet to wallet. Approve chain 77702.
  3. SPS shows up as the network’s gas token. You do not import an SPS contract.
  4. Choose Add SUSD, or import the SUSD contract yourself after the wallet is on Sentinel testnet.
  5. Request 1 test SPS from the faucet so you can pay gas.
  6. Look the address up on the explorer.

If more than one wallet extension is installed, the homepage asks which one should receive the network. If the wrong wallet opens, turn the other extension off for sentinelchain.net and try again.

There is nothing to add for mainnet. A network someone else labels “Sentinel mainnet” is not this project. A testnet balance is not a right to a future mainnet balance.

What SPS is

SPS pays gas on this chain, the way ETH pays gas on Ethereum. Adding the network is what puts SPS in the wallet. Do not search for an SPS token contract and import it. A token that merely uses the symbol SPS is not the gas token.

The faucet sends 1 test SPS to an address once every 24 hours. That SPS is for testing. It has no price and no redemption.

What SUSD is

SUSD is an ERC-20 on the testnet. It does not appear just because the network was added. The wallet has to be switched to Sentinel testnet first, then told the contract address.

This SUSD contract is a test. It is not a claim on dollars. The risk disclaimer says what the attestation does and does not mean.

Supported wallets

Any wallet that speaks Ethereum’s wallet_addEthereumChain and wallet_watchAsset methods can add the testnet and SUSD from the homepage button. These do:

Rainbow, Frame, and other Ethereum wallets can use the same manual fields if they offer a custom network. Hardware wallets such as Ledger and Trezor work only through one of the wallets above. They do not add a custom network by themselves. Phantom’s Solana account cannot hold SPS; only an Ethereum account inside a wallet that supports custom networks can.

MetaMask

Browser extension

  1. Open sentinelchain.net in the same browser profile as MetaMask.
  2. Select Add testnet to wallet and approve the network.
  3. MetaMask switches to Sentinel Chain testnet. SPS is the top balance.
  4. Select Add SUSD and approve the token.

If the button is unavailable

  1. MetaMask → network menu → Add a custom network.
  2. Enter the fields in Manual network.
  3. Switch to that network.
  4. Tokens → import token → paste the SUSD contract, symbol SUSD, decimals 18.

Mobile

Open sentinelchain.net inside MetaMask’s browser, not in Safari or Chrome alone. The system browser cannot see the MetaMask key. Then use the same two buttons. On iPhone, WalletConnect from a desktop browser is the other path if the in-app browser is unavailable: the homepage button still has to run where MetaMask is injected.

Trust Wallet

Browser extension

  1. Open sentinelchain.net with the Trust Wallet extension enabled.
  2. If MetaMask is also installed, choose Trust Wallet when the page lists wallets.
  3. Approve Add testnet to wallet, then Add SUSD.

Mobile

  1. Settings → Networks, or the network list, → add a custom network. Use the manual fields.
  2. Switch the wallet to Sentinel Chain testnet.
  3. Open the token list → add a custom token → network Sentinel, contract 0x96B4aF84FB44a0c0B51AF0A076B505925b55FF8d, symbol SUSD, decimals 18.

Trust Wallet’s ordinary browser on the phone does not inject a wallet. Use the extension on a computer, or Trust’s own dapp browser, for the homepage buttons.

Rabby

  1. Open the homepage and choose Rabby if several wallets are listed.
  2. Approve adding chain 77702. Rabby shows the RPC host before it saves the network. The host must be rpc.sentinelchain.net.
  3. Approve adding SUSD. Rabby will ask before it displays a new token.

Coinbase Wallet

  1. Extension: use the homepage buttons and choose Coinbase Wallet if asked.
  2. Mobile: open sentinelchain.net in Coinbase Wallet’s dapp browser, then use the same buttons.
  3. Manual path: Settings → Networks → add a custom network with the fields below, switch to it, then add the SUSD contract from the token import screen.

OKX Wallet

  1. Extension or the OKX dapp browser: homepage → Add testnet to wallet → Add SUSD.
  2. Manual path: wallet → network management → custom network, then custom token on that network using the SUSD contract.

Brave Wallet

  1. Brave menu → Wallet. Make Brave Wallet the Ethereum provider if MetaMask is also set as the default.
  2. Visit the homepage and approve the testnet, then SUSD.
  3. Manual path: Wallet → network menu → add a network, using the fields below. Then Wallet → token list → add a custom asset with the SUSD contract.

Manual network

Use these values exactly. A different chain ID or RPC is a different network.

FieldValue
Network nameSentinel Chain testnet
RPC URLhttps://rpc.sentinelchain.net/
Chain ID77702
Currency symbolSPS
Currency decimals18
Block explorerhttps://explorer.sentinelchain.net/

After the network is saved and selected, import SUSD with contract 0x96B4aF84FB44a0c0B51AF0A076B505925b55FF8d, symbol SUSD, decimals 18.

Send, faucet, explorer

  1. Copy your 0x address from the wallet while Sentinel testnet is selected.
  2. Paste it into the faucet and request 1 test SPS. A second request for the same address inside 24 hours is refused.
  3. In the wallet, send SPS to another 0x address on the same network. Gas is paid in SPS.
  4. Open the explorer and search the address or the transaction hash.

A sentinel1… address is the chain’s Cosmos account form. The faucet accepts it. MetaMask and Trust Wallet show and use the 0x form. Both can refer to the same account.

Developers who want JSON-RPC, contract addresses, and the token factory should use the developer docs.

Safety

  • Do not use a seed phrase that holds real funds.
  • SPS on this network is not a token you buy, and SUSD here is not a dollar.
  • A familiar symbol is not proof. Check the contract address.
  • Ordinary wallet keys are still classical secp256k1. Post-quantum accounts are a separate feature, described in the whitepaper.
  • The chain, contracts, and site have not had an independent security audit.
