1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Sentinel Chain’s public website, JSON-RPC endpoint, block explorer, faucet, token launcher or related testnet services (collectively, the “Testnet Services”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Testnet Services.
“Operator” means the party currently operating the public testnet services. No statement on this site creates a partnership, fiduciary relationship, agency, investment relationship or offer of a regulated product.
2. Testnet status; no monetary value
The Testnet Services are experimental engineering systems. SPS, SUSD, DEMO and every other asset on sps-testnet-1 are test assets with no monetary value, redemption right, ownership claim, profit expectation or promise of future conversion. Testnet balances may be modified, reset, frozen, replaced or permanently lost without notice.
The SUSD test contract is not a bank deposit, stablecoin offered for sale, claim on dollars or promise of redemption. Its on-chain reserve record is expressly labelled test data and does not represent a real reserve account.
3. Eligibility
You must be legally able to enter these terms and use experimental cryptographic software in your jurisdiction. You may not use the Testnet Services if applicable law, sanctions, export controls or an order binding on you prohibits that use.
4. Wallets, keys and transactions
You control the wallet software and private keys you choose to use. The Operator does not custody or recover wallet keys. Never import a production seed phrase, valuable account or reused private key into experimental testnet software.
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible after inclusion. You are responsible for reviewing network ID, destination, calldata, token address, gas and wallet prompts before signing. Token names and symbols are not proof of identity; verify contract addresses through the deployment registry and explorer.
5. Faucet and launcher
The faucet is provided solely to obtain limited test SPS for testnet gas. Automated circumvention of per-address, per-source or network-wide limits is prohibited. The Operator may block requests, change limits or disable the faucet at any time.
The token launcher calls a fixed-supply factory contract. It does not review, endorse, audit or approve any token created by a user. You may not create a token name, symbol or presentation intended to impersonate Sentinel Chain, SUSD, another project, person or legal entity.
6. Prohibited use
You may not:
- use the Testnet Services for unlawful activity, fraud, sanctions evasion or infringement;
- misrepresent a test asset as having monetary value, reserves, approval or redemption rights;
- attempt to obtain unauthorized access to validator, operator, faucet or edge infrastructure;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks, bypass request limits or materially interfere with other testers;
- deploy malicious code intended to compromise wallets, services or users;
- claim that Sentinel is quantum-proof, unhackable, anonymous or independently audited; or
- use the Testnet Services in a production payment, custody or investment workflow.
7. Public ledger and privacy
The testnet is public and intentionally traceable. Addresses, balances, transaction contents, token holdings, contract interactions and validator activity may be permanently visible and copied by anyone. Do not submit personal, confidential, proprietary or legally protected information in transaction data.
Operational services may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and abuse control as described in the privacy notice.
8. Third-party software and services
Wallets, browsers, Cloudflare, network providers, libraries and other third-party systems are outside the Operator’s control and subject to their own terms. A link or compatibility statement is not an endorsement or warranty.
9. Changes and availability
The Operator may modify, pause, rate-limit, restart, upgrade, fork, roll back, reset or discontinue any Testnet Service at any time. The current two-validator network deliberately halts when either validator is unavailable. No service-level agreement or uptime commitment applies.
10. No warranty
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the Testnet Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, security, accuracy, availability or freedom from defects. Post-quantum protections do not make a system immune to software bugs, implementation flaws, key compromise, operator error or future cryptanalysis.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the Operator and its contributors will not be liable for loss of keys or data, loss or misclassification of test assets, failed or reverted transactions, service interruption, security incidents, reliance on testnet information or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from use of the Testnet Services.
Because test assets have no monetary value, do not use the testnet in circumstances where failure could create financial, legal, safety or operational harm.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the testnet evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated testnet terms.
13. Contact and legal identity
A dedicated production legal entity, governing-law clause, dispute process and formal notice address have not yet been designated for Sentinel Chain. Those provisions must be completed by counsel before production or commercial use. Security-sensitive issues should not be posted with secrets or private keys in a public issue tracker.
